4TH OF JULY 2009

What a busy day, we went to the Central Point parade and found some really delicious Watermelon and Corn on the Cob for a dollar each(that was my highlight!) Then we went to some friends house and had a BBQ (mandatory for the 4th) The day ended with fireworks of course, here are some pics of our evening.

The Snake

so... Julia is a lover of all living things through and through: bugs, worms, all reptiles not to mention her own pets. She is the one who fills her Jewlery boxes with rolly pollies! Those who know Julia also know that I am not exsagerating in any way! She found "Yellow Stripes" at Grandma and Grandpa's house and made a terrarium for him in which she somehow convinced me to let her bring the snake home. We had "Yellow Stripes" for three days... found out he eats worms, everything was fine and dandy until one night i came up to the counter to clean and jumped literally about three feet in the air and terrified my husband with my blood curtling scream finding the snake staring me right in the face on top of our junk drawer thing... He was gone the next day :)

My blog isn't necessarily in chronilogical order but here are some pictures of Noah's first birthday party. His birthday was on the 23rd of May but we had his party on the 26th. A couple of our friends came over and he had speghetti dinner for the first time and he also had cake for the first time. Julia got to have her first sleep over with her best friend Bailey. To say the least they were zonked at 9 am the next morning because they stayed up until well past midnight. All in all it was a wonderful day and the kids had fun... after all that is the most important thing right?!
